Welcome!

I have now been in North America for 2 months. I have loved sharing my vision for Treasures of God Children's Home with a lot of different people from Pennsylvania, to Vancouver, to Kamloops, to Edmonton, and in Texas. I know there are a lot of new people reading this blog and I welcome you all!

In the last 2 months I have spoken with many Bible studies and met with even more individuals to share my heart. It has been wonderful to hear the response and see people come alive and want to be a part of the vision.

I visited a friends Bible study and they immediately wanted to get involved long term. I could see the tears in their eyes as they heard the stories of the abandoned children. Children whose only "sin" was to be born differently. Stories of the mothers and fathers who felt shame and disgust at having this type of child in their family. They responded with enthusiasm and each lady in the group had some resource or idea to share. They are now organizing a car wash to help offset the one time start up costs for the Home and they are excited about planning a trip to see the children once the Home is established.

I visited a friend from years ago and met his wife and son. His wife Patty is a wonderful writer and after spending an hour chatting over lunch (in a restaurant so cold I had to cover myself with a blanket from their car!) she wrote a blog to all her friends. You can see it here. I was excited that she caught the vision and understood it so quickly.

I have less than 2 weeks here in Canada before I return to Guatemala. I feel anxious to get back and get started on the physical aspect of setting up the Home. This is the longest I have been in North America since I moved to Guatemala over 3 years ago. But I know I will miss sharing the vision personally with people.

Those of you who have caught it, please continue to share! I would love to hear back from more of you. Please leave comments in the section below.

If any of you are interested in giving a one time donation, or a continuing monthly gift to the running of the home, please see the links on the left hand side. There are separate links for donating from Canada and the U.S. All donations are tax deductible in their respective countries.

I have many things to write about. Things that have happened and things that are going to happen. I am excited and I want to share it all with you.

So thanks for the visit. God bless!
